Remote by Default is the second instalment of the Location Independent series.

In these unprecedented times, many businesses are facing the immense challenge of transitioning their workplace to a hybrid or fully distributed model, with all of the tech, but none of the strategy to really embed these new remote working practices.

Although Camino didn’t get an advanced warning that a global pandemic would send 2020 crashing down around our ears, luckily we were ahead of the game, with the wheels already set in motion.

Remote by Default is a bespoke, interactive, workshop-style training course for business leaders and teams who are looking to create sustainable change to their ways of working, and to future proof their businesses for years to come.

In 2017, Camino underwent a transformation…

In March 2017, Camino took to the road to see what life could be like as a Digital Nomad. What emerged, was a fully ethnographic, longitudinal study into the lifestyle, those who choose to live it, their motivations, desires, needs, challenges - and an in-depth assessment of the services and products designed to enable a location independent lifestyle.

13 months, 14 countries, 27 coworking spaces, 12 coliving spaces and more than a few ££ of carbon offset costs later…

…a new study was born. Introducing: Location Independent || AKA #MyLifeAsADigitalNomad
